About the event:
It takes a Community to Build a Brand
NOW ITS YOUR TURN TO VOTE!
Who will be the winner?
Founded by over 200 non-profit organisations in 2006, Cape Town TV is committed to providing community access to the powerful medium of television as a tool to promote human rights, social justice and community cultural development.
This year Cape Town TV is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary of broadcasting in the communities of the Western Cape. To mark this special occasion Cape Town TV, in collaboration with Open Design Cape Town Festival, decided to invite their diverse community to participate in an exciting brand challenge. Anyone was allowed to submit their concepts and new ideas by 28 April 2017.
Finalists of the brand challenge were eventually invited to visit the Cape Town TV studios and get up close and personal with the broadcaster. On the same day they were also invited to be part of one of the live afternoon shows, followed by a final design briefing workshop that allowed the finalists the opportunity to engage with the marketing & sales director as well as the station manager of Cape Town TV. The festival and programme director of Open Design also briefed them on how to take their designs to the next level and how best to capture and reflect the personality of Cape Town TV and grab the attention and imagination of its loyal supporters.
Now its your turn to VOTE!
The finalists of the Cape Town TV brand challenge will exhibit their final corporate design ideas for Cape Town TV at the Open Design Cape Town Festival.
A fantastic opportunity for you all to vote for your favourite too and contribute to the new look & feel of the Cape Town TV Brand. Make sure that you visit this exhibition and place your vote!
Taking the public votes into consideration the panel of judges will do one final adjudication round.
The Winning Design
The winner will be announced on 1 September 2017 at Cape Town TV’s birthday bash!
