About the event:
Live Design Woodstock lifestyle walking tour (4 hours)
One of Cape Town’s oldest suburbs, Woodstock escaped the trauma of forced removals during apartheid. Today it remains a racially mixed suburb that has retained its authentic and vibrant personality. Contemporary Woodstock is characterised by a mix of trendy creative pockets with many derelict buildings that have been transformed into artisan, design studios and energetic common spaces for sharing.
Highlights include the Field Office and Chapel at Woodstock Exchange and Vogel Design & Bronze Age at the Woodstock Foundry. We also visit Woodstock Brewery for a taster and tour, ending at the Old Biscuit Mill where we also pay a visit to the famous Imiso Ceramics.
