MAKING A BUSINESS CASE FOR DESIGN
Design thinking is vital for developing better business practices and creating more user-centric products and services. Renowned stylist Tracy-Lee Lynch takes us through the creative journey of food chain Nando’s, revealing what happens when a brand fully supports local creativity. She explores how it can impact on local designers and on the world’s perception of South African and African design, while still maintaining global customer loyalty. A fascinating creative journey at Nandos that will bring new focus to the quality of SA design.
Tracy-Lee will be joined by Binky Newman from Design Afrika, designer Mara Fleischer, Rob Walker from Ashanti Design and Mathokoza Nhlapo from Sithabe African Craft

Tracy studied Fine Art at Stellenbosch University. Through her years of undergraduate and post-graduate study, she developed a particular aesthetic vision that has been the driving force behind a career built on a passion for the creative world of interiors and design. Her core goal has been to inspire and direct projects towards a focused and, above all, authentic design aesthetic. Tracy has worked in interior design, rebranding, visual communication and art direction. She has had the privilege of drawing together and collaborating with many varied and talented people across all aspects of design and production.
